ELF CULTURE. the elves native to Silica, which i have been calling wood elves, are a very territorial people obsessed with perfection. Their caste system tribal society is based on "perfection" as they call it and this can range from a woman's beauty, a man's skills (such as hunting or the arts). Once born into a caste one cannot elevate themselves, with the exception of marriage, as some higher caste males will sometimes marry lower caste females due to their beauty. They brake up the groups like so:

Undesirables - the lowliest caste of all, this group is made up of criminals and traitors.

Artisan Caste - a caste meant for common folk who have learned an art or trade form. this generally includes painters, singers, sculptors, clothiers and various other contributions.

Hunter caste - Hunters are very well respected for their skills of agility and marksmanship, as well as trap making. Since the wood elves dont have the room to really farm for food, they hunt for most of what they eat.

Military Caste - The military caste is exactly what it sounds like, it is meant to keep outsiders from destroying the forest and to preserve the creatures within it. It is considered treason to desecrate any living thing in the forest unless it is necessary for the survival of the tribe.

Ruling caste - also known as the "perfects" they are the ruling caste, the nobles. they are respected above all else and are treated with the utmost respect. They make the major political decisions of the tribes. To disrespect a Perfect is considered treason and can be punishable by death.

Elven society is almost entirely unknown to outsiders and is often misunderstood, this has lead them to be very aggressive the protection of their home. Arkose forces, Barbaric clans, Viashino tribes and other foreign people have tried to raid the forest for its resources, but the elves have alays managed to push them back.
